Donating an Object
The Lynn Museum & Historical Society gladly accepts donations of art, artifacts, photographs, and documents that are related to its mission. The collections primarily focus on Lynn and the surrounding North Shore communities, but Lynn is part of the global community so there also may be objects from outside of Lynn that are relevant to local history and therefore of interest to LMHS.
Because our collections are already quite extensive, there may be some donations that LMHS is unable to accept. This does not mean a particular object is unworthy of preservation, or that it does not have value – but it might mean that LMHS already owns a similar object, or does not have the resources to provide proper care and/or storage for that object. If you would like information about donating a specific object to LMHS, please contact us. Please note: we cannot accept in-person donations of objects unless you have made an appointment. Thank you for complying with this important policy.
Making a Financial Contribution through Planned Giving
As an independent, not-for-profit and privately funded organization, all of our work to save and share Lynn’s treasured past depends on contributions from people like you. For more information on how to make a contribution or a planned gift to the Lynn Museum & Historical Society, please contact Executive Director Drew Russo.
