Research Library and Photo Archives at the Lynn Museum & Historical Society

The Lynn Museum & Historical Society maintains a research library and photo archives.  With over one thousand volumes, two hundred linear feet of manuscripts and pamphlets, and twenty thousand photographs documenting all aspects of the city's history, LMHS is the leading repository of historic printed material and images of the City of Lynn. These diaries, account books, maps, church, business, and organizational records offer a wealth of information to scholars, genealogists, and property owners.  Materials do not circulate, but photocopying is available at the discretion of Museum staff.

At this time, the LMHS Research Library is available for research on Saturdays 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM only.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to fill out a Research Form; you may also download the Research Form here (.pdf format) and fill it out prior to your visit.
