Director, Doneeca Thurston, Joins Black Excellence Panel

In honor of Black History Month, North Shore Juneteenth Association, Inc. organized a virtual “Black Excellence” forum, encouraging panelists to share their thoughts on representation and mentorship in communities of color. The conversation featured Dr. Patrick Tutwiler, Superintendent of Lynn Public Schools, Marshunda Smith, a Boston-based Cellist, Conductor, and Teacher, Doneeca Thurston, Director of Lynn Museum/LynnArts, and Tony Seaforth, founder of The Seaforth Movement.

The program was hosted by Nicole McClain, Founder & President of NSJA, moderated by Raven Coleman and Bolaji Odusanya, and featured a performance of The Black National Anthem by Janey David.
