Frederick Douglass Reading Together 2023

Join North Shore Juneteenth Association, Inc. at Frederick Douglass Park on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 11 am for the public reading of Frederick Douglass’ Fourth of July Address. This annual event invites community members to gather and group read Douglass’ “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” The event will also feature local vendors, music, and more.

Lynn Museum/LynnArts is proud to be an in-kind sponsor for the event. The Museum will be open and encourage visitors to view the “Untold Stories: Community Changemakers” exhibition (on view through June 2024). The Museum will also provide bathroom access and a cooling station during the reading program.
