Fourth Saturday: The REAL Program’s Little Free Library Crawl

Join us on the second and fourth Saturday of each month for FREE admission to the Lynn Museum! You can view our latest exhibitions, purchase Lynn-themed goods in our shop, check out books in our free library, and participate in art-making activities.

Families and friends are invited to celebrate literacy at the 3rd Annual REAL Little Free Library® Crawl, a literacy scavenger hunt benefiting The REAL Program. The event is free and will be held rain or shine on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please note the Museum opens at 10 am.

The event will begin with a vibrant puppet parade accompanied by live West African drumming featuring colorful life-size puppets crafted by Raw Art Works of Lynn, MA. Following the parade, families will embark on a literacy scavenger hunt led by student-athletes from St. Mary’s High School, searching for clues hidden inside the Museum’s exhibits, murals, and REAL Little Free Libraries scattered throughout the neighboring Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre.

Children will also enjoy reading classic stories in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and English, along with interactive readings by REAL educator Mrs. Brown. Adults can learn about local services from Lynn family service organizations while children participate in crafts and activities.

End the afternoon with music, refreshments, and certificate presentations by Lynn Community Police at Lynn Museum.

To join this celebration of literacy, visit www.therealprogram.org or contact Jan Plourde, The REAL Program Executive Director, at 978-993-4425 or jan@therealprogram.org.
