Frederick Douglass Reading Together 2024

Join North Shore Juneteenth Association, Inc. at Frederick Douglass Park (Corner of Union & Exchange Streets) on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the public reading of Frederick Douglass’ Fourth of July Address. This annual event invites community members to gather and read Douglass’ “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” The event will also feature local vendors, music, and more.

Lynn Museum & Arts Center is proud to be an in-kind partner for the event. The Museum will be open and encourage visitors to view our latest exhibitions and participate in an art-making activity. The Museum will also provide bathroom access and a cooling station during the reading program.
