M.E.S.A. (Museum Enrichment Series for All) featuring “The Road Less Taken” with Kit Jenkins
Join Lynn Museum/LynnArts on the second Wednesday of each month at noon for M.E.S.A. (Museum Enrichment Series for All). This lecture series covers wellness, genealogy, and current events and features local experts, community members, Museum staff, and others.
This program takes place over Zoom / Facebook Live.
Our November program is entitled: “The Road Less Taken: Walking the Camino de Santiago with Kit Jenkins.”
After her first two hikes in Portugal and Spain along this storied route, Kit shares her experiences walking “The Camino.”
The Camino is actually a series of ancient trails that have been traveled for more than 1,000 years, routes that begin in three different countries, all ending at the cathedral in the city of Santiago de Compostela. This is where it is said that the remains of the patron saint of Spain, St. James, are held. Kit will show images and tell stories from her walks.
And she invites [or will invite?] attendees to share “What is your road not YET taken, and what is the first step to making that journey a reality?”
Formerly the longtime executive director of Raw Art Works, when Kit is not partnering with local nonprofits like Lynn Museum/LynnArts as a nonprofit consultant and leadership coach, or hanging out with her 19-year–old sons, she can be found swimming, rowing, running, cycling, hiking…or walking hundreds of miles just for the sheer joy of walking.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Lynn Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
