Trails & Sails: “The Hutchinsons of High Rock” with Tom Dalton

The Hutchinson Family Singers were a popular 19th-century group known for its political, social, humorous, heartfelt, and theatrical compositions. Local historian and author of “Frederick Douglass: The Lynn Years,” Tom Dalton, returns to The Museum as part of Trails & Sails to discuss his most recent book, “The Hutchinsons of High Rock.”

Learn about the primary sources such as diaries, letters, and newspapers Dalton delved into during the three-year project and gain new insight into this well-known abolitionist family.
